SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS – August 15, 2026 – El Paso Locomotive FC delivered a dominant performance on Saturday night, defeating San Antonio FC 3-0 on the road.
After back-and-forth chances for both teams, Alex Méndez opened the scoring in the 20th minute with a stunning strike that left San Antonio’s goalkeeper with no chance. Méndez completed his brace in the 39th minute, capitalizing on a San Antonio mistake at the back
Just before the halftime whistle, Jimmy Farkarlun added a third for the Locos, connecting with a cross from Amando Moreno that found its way through the box.
San Antonio came out of the break applying pressure in the attack, but El Paso’s defense stood firm to keep the clean sheet and secure a third straight shutout victory.
Locomotive will be back on the road on Saturday, August 22, traveling to Colorado Springs to take on the Switchbacks. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. MT.

- It was a tale of twos tonight for the Locos. Alex Méndez scored two of El Paso’s three goals to bring his season total to eight, while Amando Moreno recorded two assists, marking his first assists of the season.
- El Paso’s 3-0 victory marked the first time the Locos have defeated San Antonio FC since June 5, 2024, when the Locos earned a 1-0 victory at Toyota Field. This is just the fourth time in 17 meetings that Locomotive have held San Antonio scoreless.
