EL PASO, Texas (March 13, 2024) – El Paso Locomotive FC walked away with a point on Wednesday night at Southwest University Park after equalizing 1-1 against Monterey Bay F.C.
Locomotive set the tone for the match early as forward Amando Moreno opened his and Locomotive’s 2024 scoring account after speeding past the Monterey Bay’s defense to capitalize on a beautiful no-look pass from forward Justin Dhillon.
Monterey Bay would raise the offensive pressure in search of an equalizer but Locomotive goalkeeper Jahmali Waite denied the visitors a goal in the first half, making three big saves to help El Paso retain its lead.
Monterey Bay would increase its attacking intensity in the second half and would see its efforts pay off late into the match with an 87′ equalizer, spoiling the night for El Paso.
