EL PASO, Texas (March 9, 2024) – It was not the start to the 2024 season El Paso Locomotive FC would have wanted, falling 1-0 to Hartford Athletic on Saturday night at Southwest University Park.
Despite dominating in possession and getting more shots in than the opponent, Locomotive were unable to find the equalizer after conceding in the 13′ via penalty kick.
“I’m happy with how we played, we stuck to the match plan and the second half was superior, but unfortunately we didn’t get the goal,” Head Coach and Technical Director Brian Clarhaut said “I liked what we were doing, I thought we were causing enough problems. Eight new players made their debuts and it’s going to get more fluid, sharper.”
NOTES
