El Paso Locomotive FC (12-13-7, 43 points, West-8) are looking to continue their push for a playoff spot as they prepare for their final home game of the 2022 regular season. El Paso are hoping to bounce back from Wednesday’s loss against Colorado Springs Switchbacks with a win on Saturday as they seek a fourth consecutive playoff berth.
Orange County SC (7-13-12, 33 points, West-13) are currently the only team in the Western Conference eliminated from post-season play and are winless in their last three games. Orange County SC’s Milan Iloski, who currently leads the USL Championship in goals scored (22), has been suspended one game for caution accumulation and will be unavailable for the match against El Paso.
In their previous meeting on May 27, Locomotive and Orange County both took a point in a 2-2 contest, the third consecutive draw between the two sides. As the teams enter their sixth meeting overall, Locomotive will be eager to take home all three points as they sit equal in points with Rio Grande Valley FC (12-13-7, West-6) and Oakland Roots SC (10-9-13, West-7) heading into the final two matches of the regular season.
El Paso will travel to Florida to close out the regular season against Tampa Bay on Wednesday, October 12.
