EL PASO, TEXAS – September 16, 2026 – El Paso locomotive FC Academy defender Ian Alsina has earned a call-up to the Puerto Rico U15 National Team and will represent his country at the inaugural FIFA U-15 World Cup & Festival 2026, taking place in Azerbaijan from October 22-31, 2026.
“We are incredibly proud of Ian Alsina for earning his call-up to the Puerto Rico U15 National team and representing his country at the World Cup in Azerbaijan,” said Jair Olivares, Head of Methodology. “This is a tremendous milestone in Ian’s development and a reflection of his hard work, dedication, and commitment to becoming a better player every day. Seeing one of our Locomotive Academy players reach the international stage is something that makes our entire Academy proud.”
Alsina, a member of the El Paso Locomotive U16 Academy team, becomes the latest Locomotive Academy player to earn an opportunity to represent his country on the international stage. The recognition highlights his continued development, work ethic, consistency, and commitment both on and off the field. His achievement also reflects the support of his family, whose continued encouragement and commitment have been an important part of his development and journey.
