EL PASO, Texas – El Paso Locomotive FC’s Jahmali Waite and Javier Nevarez were named to the USL Championship Team of the Week – Week 7 for their strong defensive performances in a 1-1 draw against Tampa Bay Rowdies over the weekend.
JAHMALI WAITE
The Jamaican international recorded seven saves in the match against the Rowdies, a season-high for a single match in 2024. One save in particular showcased Waite’s impressive acrobatic and reaction ability that was crucial to helping Los Locos keep out a dangerous Tampa Bay side.
JAVIER NEVAREZ
Aside from scoring a 65-yard screamer that could potentially be a contender for USL Championship Goal of the Year, Nevarez also posted a 100% tackle success rate (5/5) against the Rowdies.
