EL PASO, Texas (February 1, 2023) – El Paso Locomotive FC has announced 13 theme nights for home matches at Southwest University Park during the 2024 USL Championship regular season, including the return of several fan favorites and the introduction of new themes and activations. The Locomotive season begins Saturday, March 9 at 7 p.m. for the 2024 Home Opener, presented by Southwest University, to welcome fans back to Southwest University Park as Los Locos play host to Hartford Athletic to kick off the club’s sixth season in the league.

Locomotive will celebrate its Academy and Club teams on April 13 when they welcome Oakland Roots SC for Locomotive Youth Soccer Night, recognizing the many achievements accomplished by the young Locos. The match will also see the debut of a new post-match laser show.
Two weeks later, Locomotive welcome FC Tulsa on April 27 for College Night, providing college students a fun matchday experience to de-stress ahead of finals. Students and alumni are encouraged to wear college gear to show off their respective colleges and/or universities.
Locomotive FC proudly celebrates El Paso, the city it has called home since its founding in 2018, when they host Memphis 901 FC on May 17 for El Paso Night. More details regarding the evening’s activities will be shared closer to the date.
Locomotive FC invites all members of the LGBTQIA+ community to Southwest University to celebrate its annual Pride Night on June 1 when the club welcomes Birmingham Legion FC. A full night of celebrating diversity, inclusion, and unity in our community will be capped off with post-match fireworks.
Christmas in July, presented by GECU, makes its return on July 12 when Locomotive host Las Vegas Lights FC to provide some holly, jolly Christmas spirit in the middle of summer.
On July 27, the club is encouraging fans to pack Southwest University Park in blue gear for Blue Out to help create a strong home environment when Locomotive host archrival New Mexico United for the reverse fixture of the Derby Del Camino Real.
The club will then recognize and celebrate the city’s first responders on August 10 for First Responder’s Night when Miami FC come into town. There will be a post-match firework show to end the night.
To kick off Hispanic Heritage Month, Noche de Locos returns on September 7 vs Detroit City FC. More information regarding the night’s activities and giveaways will be shared in the coming months.
For fans looking to bring their lovable, furry friends to a match, Pups at the Pitch makes its return to the theme night calendar on September 29 when Locomotive play host to North Carolina FC.
When in-state rivals San Antonio FC make the trip to El Paso, Locomotive will host a massive party for one of the club’s most loved ambassadors, Ozzy, on October 9 for Ozzy’s Birthday.
Kickin’ Cancer Night, presented by Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso, is set to be hosted on October 16 when Locomotive welcome Orange County SC to Southwest University Park and will see the final post-match firework show of the year.
Locomotive’s final home match of the regular season against Sacramento Republic FC will celebrate Fan Appreciation Night, presented by Estrella Jalisco, on October 19. The evening will be lined up with different activities and activations thanking fans for their unwavering support throughout the year.
