After snapping his six-game scoreless streak, Forward Luis “Lucho” Solignac will come into Saturday’s contest with newfound confidence to find the back of the net once again and to help Locomotive get back on track.
“For strikers, one goal changes everything,” he said about his goal against Rio Grande Valley FC in a post-training press conference on Tuesday. “I always want to score goals that matter. Personally, for me, it was good but unfortunately, we could not get the result. But I hope to keep growing and to help the team – which is the most important – get out of this streak.”
MIAMI FC (10TH EASTERN CONFERENCE, 5-9-8, 23 PTS)
Miami has picked up momentum in recent matches, losing just once in its last five and notably ending San Antonio’s 30-game home undefeated streak across all competitions.
Veteran captain Paco Craig has been an anchor in Miami’s defense this season, leading the league in clearances and is the team’s leader in blocks and interceptions, and they’ll look to him once again to guide the backline.
