EL PASO, Texas – El Paso Locomotive FC announced today that midfielder Liam Rose has signed a contract extension through the 2025 season, pending league and federation approval.
“It’s fantastic news to continue with Liam Rose,” Head Coach and Technical Director Brian Clarhaut said. “He is a tireless worker who does all the little things that contribute to our team’s success. He leads by example, and I am very excited to see Liam stay in El Paso to continue to help shape, mold and lead our team to compete for championships.”
The 26-year-old Australian joined Locomotive last May, featuring in 12 matches for Locomotive’s 2022 campaign. He has since become one of Locomotive’s key players in the midfield, starting every single match across all competitions in 2023. He has tallied one goal and two assists in 32 total appearances for El Paso.
“I love this club and I love El Paso,” Rose said. “It’s become my second home and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it. The people are so welcoming, and my wife and I love it. I’m really excited to be staying here for the next couple years and for what the future holds. This town deserves a championship, and it is my goal to make that happen. Vamos Locos!”
Prior to his arrival in El Paso, Rose featured 32 times with Macarthur FC in Australia’s A-League and made 21 total appearances for Australia at the youth international level.
