EL PASO, Texas – El Paso Locomotive FC goalkeeper Benny Diaz has won the USL Championship Fans’ Choice Save of the Week for Week 17.
On a full stretch dive, Diaz got his fingertips on the long-range ball as it rocketed towards goal. The ball ricocheted off the post and was cleared by defender Eder Borelli before New Mexico could take advantage.
El Paso Locomotive FC are back in action this Saturday, July 8 at Monterey Bay FC. Kickoff from Cardinale Stadium is set for 8 p.m. MT and will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
Locomotive will return to Southwest University Park on Saturday, July 12, kicking off a three-match homestand against 2022 league champions San Antonio FC, who El Paso drew 2-2 against earlier this season in a feisty matchup. The rematch will be broadcast live on ESPN+, KTSM.com and Estrella TV 9.2 and will kick off at 7 p.m. MT.
