EL PASO, Texas – El Paso Locomotive FC forward Luis “Lucho” Soliganc has been nominated for the USL Championship Fans’ Choice Goal of the Week – Week 14. Fans can vote for Lucho on USL Championship’s website here, as well as on Twitter, Instagram Stories and the USL App.
The poll will close at 10 a.m. MT on Thursday, June 15.
With Los Locos down a goal with 12 minutes to go, Lucho would once again prove to be the difference-maker in front of the net. A play built up by El Paso’s Nick Hinds and Emmanuel Sonupe, the ball would find the feet of defender Miles Lyons, who ran down the stretch to send a cross into the box. The ball would land perfectly for Lucho, who cleanly volleyed it into the net past San Antonio’s Jordan Farr, who stood stunned to what just transpired.
Lucho’s goal equalized the match, eventually helping Locomotive bring home a point and extend its undefeated streak to ten matches.
