EL PASO, Texas – El Paso Locomotive FC defender Eder Borelli and midfielder Denys Kostyshyn have earned spots in the Starting XI of the USL Championship Team of the Week – Week 13. Their performances saw them lift Locomotive to a 1-0 win over New Mexico United – the second consecutive time El Paso have won at Isotopes Park – and helped extend the club’s undefeated streak to nine games, with wins in the last seven.
This is the third time this season that both players have earned a spot in the USL Championship Team of the Week roster.
EDER BORELLI
Borelli’s dime of an assist, his second of the campaign, saw Locomotive through to another three points. He was a consistent threat down the left flank, creating four chances for Los Locos in his 11 final third entries.
DENYS KOSTYSHYN
Scoring the game’s lone goal off a hard-fought header, Kostyshyn now has three goals to his name this season. He also recorded four shots and a 0.65 xG, the highest of any player on the field.
