EL PASO, Texas – El Paso Locomotive FC goalkeeper Benny Diaz has been nominated for the USL Championship Fans’ Choice Save of the Week award for Week 9. Fans can vote for Diaz on USL Championship’s website here, as well as on Twitter, Instagram Stories and the USL App. The poll will close at 10 a.m. MT on Friday, May 12.
On a full stretch dive, Diaz managed to get his fingertips on a long-range ball as it rocketed towards the top corner, redirecting the ball onto the crossbar and away from goal.
Diaz and Locomotive return to Southwest University Park this Saturday, May 13 as they welcome Loudoun United FC for their first ever visit to El Paso. Kickoff at 7:30 p.m. MT. Tickets can be purchased here.
