
EL PASO, Texas – El Paso Locomotive FC defender Eder Borelli and goalkeeper Benny Diaz were named to the USL Championship Team of the Week – Week 7 thanks to their strong performances in a 2-0-win last Saturday against Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC, keeping the club’s undefeated streak alive heading into this weekend’s match at San Diego Loyal SC.
EDER BORELLI
The veteran defender’s performance in the backline and on the attack earned him a spot in this week’s Starting XI. Against Pittsburgh, he won 17 duels and 6 tackles. His run-ins on the wing saw him finish as the club’s top player in final third entries (9) and fouls won (6).
BENNY DIAZ
Chants of Diaz’s name could be heard around Southwest University Park as he continues to rise as a fan favorite. He made four saves against the Riverhounds to record his third clean sheet of the season, the third-most in the league.
