EL PASO, Texas – El Paso Locomotive FC forward Ricardo Zacarias has been nominated for the USL Championship Fans’ Choice Goal of the Week award for Week 2 of the regular season. Fans can vote for Zacarias on USL Championship’s website here, as well as on Twitter, Instagram and the USL App. The poll will close at 10 a.m. MT on Thursday, March 23.
His goal against Colorado Springs Switchbacks was the first for Locomotive this season. Following a bad touch off a Colorado deflection, Zacarias would display his attacking composure, calmly controlling the ball outside the 18-yard box and striking it into the bottom right corner past the Switchbacks goalkeeper. The ball would clip off the post and slide across the goal line to give El Paso its equalizer.
