El Paso Locomotive FC has officially rounded the corner to the second half the season. With 17 games down and 17 to go, the Locos are searching to cement its spot in the USL Championship playoff picture. Locos have three games on the horizon this week, starting with New York Red Bulls II at Southwest University Park. Locomotive has been on a streak in recent week, going undefeated in its last six matches to maintain a position above the playoff line. Now as one of the league’s most offensively successful teams, El Paso Locomotive will take on an Eastern Conference club that sits at the bottom of the table.
Through the 2022 season, Red Bulls II have struggled, winning only one game after 15. The lone win came on the road in March with a 1-0 victory over Atlanta United 2. Since then, Red Bulls II have lost five games on the road, posting a goal differential of -6. Within its last five games, Red Bulls II have picked up two points from a pair of draws against San Diego Loyal SC and FC Tulsa. As the New York side struggles to pick itself up from the bottom of the league table, it will visit an El Paso team that has not lost at home since March 23.
