
El Paso Locomotive FC is coming off a draw at home vs Rio Grande Valley FC. Midfielder Nick Ross opened up the scoring in the 45th minute after he ripped a left footed shot into the bottom corner of the RGV goal. Ross wasn’t finished adding his name to the stat sheet and in the 78th minute provided an assist for Derek Gebhard (his second goal of the season). At the end of the match Ross would complete 94.1 percent of his passes and be the only Locomotive player thus far to notch an assist and a goal. Ross was named to the USL Championship Team of the Week for Week 3.
Another Locomotive player received league recognition from the match against Rio Grande Valley FC last week. Logan Ketterer was nominated for Save of the Week after he punched an on-target driven free kick to the outside of the goal.
This match between El Paso and Orange County will be the first meeting between the two clubs who also share an identical record (0-2-1) and goal differential (-2). Orange County sits in 13th place and El Paso are at their heels in 14th in the Western Conference. Both clubs are coming off a tie this past weekend resulting from goals in the 90th + minute.
Defender Mechack Jérôme returns to the club after being called up to play for Haiti against Cuba on March 24 in Port au Prince. Haiti won the CONCACAF Nations League qualifying match 2-1 and stand on top of the leaderboards.
