
EL PASO, Texas – Several El Paso Locomotive FC players visited schools across the El Paso area throughout the month of May as part of its #CareerMonth campaign, talking with students about life as a professional soccer player and ways to work towards achieving dreams of going pro.

Erik McCue, Deanna Davenport Elementary, May 2
Defender Erik McCue would kick off Locomotive’s #CareerMonth tour, visiting students at Deanna Davenport Elementary to speak about self-belief and motivation ahead of STAAR Testing.

Yuma, East Montana Middle School, May 8
Captain and long-time fan favorite Yuma took the trip down to East Montana Middle School to meet with students in an after-school soccer program about his role at Locomotive and provide words of advice on becoming pro.

Miles Lyons, Zach White Elementary School, May 12
Alongside members from the front office and beloved mascot Ozzy, defender Miles Lyons spoke with students at Zach White Elementary School about his young career as a professional soccer player.

Bence Pavkovics, Canutillo Middle School, May 12
Participating in Canutillo Middle School’s Career Day event, defender Bence Pavkovics joined front office staff to talk about his career in professional soccer, as well as showing off a few tricks and answering questions from curious students about growing up in Hungary.

Diego Abarca, Dr. Torres Elementary School, May 19
Hometown kid Diego Abarca got to hang out with students at Dr. Torres Elementary School, speaking about his life as a young player and teaching kids some new skills during small games of footy.
