EL PASO, Texas – El Paso Locomotive FC midfielder Petar Petrovic has been nominated for the USL Championship Fans’ Choice Goal of the Week – Week 7. Fans can vote for Petrovic on USL Championship’s website here, as well as on Twitter, Instagram Stories and the USL App.
The poll will close at 10 a.m. MT on Thursday, April 27.
Petrovic opened the scoring for Locomotive in Saturday’s 2-0 win over Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC, contributing to El Paso’s first ever win against the Eastern Conference side to extend its unbeaten run to four games.
Petrovic broke the game’s deadlock in the 39th minute, bring down a 45-yard cross from midfielder Denys Kostyshyn with his left foot before tapping it in with his right foot past Riverhounds goalkeeper Jahmali Waite, who could only stand and watch as the ball went into the net.
This is the second goal for Petrovic since he joined Locomotive for the 2023 season and continues to show how big of an addition he is to a side looking to make a return to the playoffs.
