EL PASO, TEXAS – September 10, 2026 – El Paso Locomotive FC’s Rubio Rubín has been named the USL Championship Player of the Month for August.
“I’m very grateful for this award,” said Rubín. “August was a great month. The team found form and confidence, which only elevated my performance as well. I’m thankful for my teammates and my beautiful family who always support me. I couldn’t do it without them.”
During August, Rubín recorded four goals, including a first-half hat trick against Loudoun United on August 29. The forward tallied 26 shots and 12 chances created across seven matches.
With his August performance, Rubín currently sits tied for first in the Golden Boot race with 13 goals.
