DESIREE CASTILLO
Desiree was born and raised in El Paso, TX. She graduated and played varsity soccer at Franklin High School; she then went to New Mexico State University where she graduated with her bachelor’s in nursing in 2020. She has been coaching soccer since 2017 with her grassroots license, working with ages ranging from 3 to 16 years old. Her passion for the game makes her a perfect coach for the younger ages, she is currently coaching the 2014 U10 Locomotive girls’ team and the 2016 U8 Blue team. Also working in the office as our Registrar as well as, helping in the internal operations with the EP Locomotive Youth Soccer Club.

ANA GUEVARA
Ana, originally from Queretaro, Mexico has lived in El Paso for 13 years now. Joined the club back in 2019, since then she has worked in various positions within the senior club. Graduated in 2021 with a Bachelor’s degree in International Business and a minor in Marketing. This is when she joined the Youth Soccer staff as the department’s Senior Coordinator in Operations, overseeing Club, Academy and Programs. Works in a communications, administrative and operational role for Locomotive Youth Soccer and is a valuable resource for all families involved in EP Locomotive Youth Soccer activities.

COLIN HERLINGER
Colin Herlinger is coming from Loudoun, Virginia where he worked as an assistant coach for 2 years with the USL Championship Side Loudoun United. He also worked with one of the largest and most established clubs in the nation, Loudoun Soccer Club.
Colin has been coaching for 12 years at various competitive youth levels. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Mary Washington, and his Master’s degree in Recreational Development and Sports Pedagogy with a focus on soccer coaching through Ohio University. He also currently has his USSF A “Senior” License, which he attained in 2021, among other licenses.
Colin grew up playing soccer and his freshman year of college was recruited briefly to play at the University of Mary Washington.
He now lives in El Paso with his wife Kiersten.

ALEX POZO
Alex Pozo grew up in Guayaquil, Ecuador, and earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics at the Universidad Catolica de Guayaquil in 2007. After moving to the US in 2011, he decided to follow his passion as a soccer coach.
He has spent the past 12 years coaching competitive soccer at both the youth and collegiate levels. His experiences working for recognized clubs such as Pateadores SC in California, Barca Escola and UE Cornella in Spain, Barca Residency Academy in Arizona and a role as the Director of Player Development at Arizona Soccer Association, has provided him with an extensive knowledge base to develop players and even more importantly help guide them through various opportunities at the collegiate level where they can further their careers whilst playing the beautiful game.
Profe Pozo communicates with college coaches of all divisions across the nation to streamline the recruiting process for Locomotive Academy players and help to create pathways for our players to compete and obtain a higher education. Also, he is part of the Academy coaching staff.
Alex holds the US Soccer Youth A license and an MBA in Sports Management from Universidad Europea, Madrid. In addition, he is a US Soccer Educator which has helped him comprehend and teach different soccer methodologies.

IVAN MILITAR
Ivan, originally from Szeged, Hungary, came to the United States to play college soccer at Old Dominion University in 2011. After finishing his collegiate career as the captain of the Monarchs and as a 2015 First Team All-Conference USA honoree, he began his coaching career at Beach FC. Between 2017 and 2019, he was the Director of Coaching on the boy’s side of the club.
In parallel with his role at Beach FC, Ivan finished his bachelor’s degree in Sports Management with a minor in Psychology, his master’s degree in Education with a focus on Leadership in Higher Education, and his Education Specialist doctoral-level degree with a focus on Leadership in Higher Education as well. He also currently has his USSF ‘B’ license, which he has recently attained in 2022.
In 2019, he decided to join one of the top youth academies in the country and started coaching at Barça Residency Academy in Casa Grande, Arizona. During his time coaching at the residential academy, Ivan had the chance to work with current professional players, such as Bryce Duke (Inter Miami), Caden Clark (New York RB), Korede Osundina (Orange County), Brooklyn Raines (El Paso Locomotive, now Houston Dynamo) and Diego Luna (El Paso Locomotive, now Real Salt Lake).
Before joining El Paso Locomotive FC, in the 2021/2022 season, Ivan worked for Richmond United, one of the top youth academies in the state of Virginia.
Ivan is joined in El Paso with his wife, Windsor, his daughter Lili and his son Ivan Emmanuel.
