EL PASO, Texas – El Paso Locomotive FC has signed Major League Soccer defender Noah Dollenmayer, 23, on loan from Los Angeles Football Club for the remainder of the 2023 season, the club announced today. The loan is pending league and federation approval.
“Standing tall at 6’ 6”, he is a physically imposing center-back who is good on the ball and wins a large number of aerial duels, so we are happy to welcome Noah to our Locomotive family for the remainder of the season,” Head Coach and Technical Director Brian Clarhaut said.
Dollenmayer, a native of Thousand Oaks, California, was selected by LAFC in the third round (#87 overall) of the 2023 MLS SuperDraft and signed with LAFC2 for the 2023 MLS Next Pro season. Dollenmayer registered 1,139 minutes and 12 starts in 16 appearances for LAFC2.
Dollenmayer played every minute of LAFC’s 2023 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup run, which included a dramatic Round of 32 victory on the road at Monterey Bay FC – helping his side rally to equalize in extra time and force a penalty shootout – and his El Tráfico debut in the Round of 16 against LA Galaxy.
Prior to joining LAFC, Dollenmayor made three appearances and registered one assist for California State University, San Bernardino in 2022. He also played for CSU Fullerton in 2021, registering one goal in his 16 appearances. Dollenmayer began his collegiate career at Oxnard College, helping the Condors secure the 2019 Western State Conference North championship during his two-year stint.
El Paso Locomotive FC is on the road this weekend for its first away contest at Hartford Athletic on Saturday, August 26. Kickoff from Trinity Health Stadium is set for 5 p.m. MT and will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
Los Locos return to Southwest University Park on Saturday, September 2 for Noche de Locos against Monterey Bay FC at 7:30 p.m. MT.
