EL PASO, TEXAS– September 9, 2026 – El Paso Locomotive FC Head Coach Junior Gonzalez has been named the USL Championship Coach of the Month for August.
“This recognition is a direct reflection of the dedication of our players and staff to our daily process and the environment we’ve built within our club,” said Gonzalez.
During the month of August, the Locos posted a 6-1-0 record, with the only loss coming against Orange County SC on August 1st. El Paso closed out the month on a six-match winning streak, including four consecutive shutouts. Locomotive scored 12 goals during the month while conceding just four.
The Locos will look to continue their hot streak in September as they face Louisville City FC, Phoenix Rising FC, and FC Tulsa.
