BIOGRAPHY
Payares, 26, arrives to El Paso from the Primera A league, where he played 18 matches with 14 starts as a centerback for his third stint with Boyacá Patriot. The Colombian native has played his entire career in the Colombia top-flight. He began in 2015 with Cortuluá, where he made his professional debut at 19, making 12 appearances, 10 of which were starts with one goal.
Since his debut, Payares has played single seasons across the Primera A, playing for Deportivo Pasto for a season making nine appearances and eight starts, three seasons with Boyacá Patriot for a total of 41 starts across 45 appearances, and two seasons with Club Atlético Bucaramanga.
