BIOGRAPHY
Although he joined at the tail end of the 2022 regular season and only made three appearances for El Paso, the 23-year-old Ukrainian right back looks to make a deep impact in the 2023 campaign.
Kholod came to El Paso after playing for highly regarded Champion’s League and Ukrainian Premier League side Shakhtar Donetsk. In the 2021/22 season, Kholod went on loan to FC Mariupol where he made six total appearances in all competitions.
Kholod was set to continue playing for Mariupol in 2022 before the war in Ukraine broke out and halted all play in the country. Approached by El Paso Locomotive FC, Kholod happily joined Los Locos in August last year and is one of only two Ukrainians in the USL Championship, the other being teammate Denys Kostyshyn.
